Director, Operations

A key member of our core leadership team, you will have administrative responsibility for the operational and sport elements of all 9 National Play On! events.  You will execute all aspects of the organization’s comprehensive delivery model, help recruit, lead, and inspire a team, manage and enhance the project’s sport programs and all who participate in them.  You will be responsible to increase engagement amongst all event stakeholders and ensure the professional delivery of all events.

Event Director

Greater Vancouver Area, Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary, London, Mississauga, Ottawa, Newfoundland

You are a natural leader, experienced in the regional sports community, and ready for the challenge of leading one of the City’s largest events.  You are a collaborator and partnership builder with a willingness to hustle and the capacity to unite and inspire. A contributor to the national leadership team, you will collaborate frequently with the regional and national project leaders, while providing leadership for the event, including all staff, volunteers, and officials.

Assistant Event Director

Greater Vancouver Area, Edmonton, Calgary, Mississauga, Ottawa

You are a collaborator and partnership builder with a willingness to hustle and the capacity to unite and inspire. A trusted partner to the event director, you will coordinate human and physical resources including all staff, volunteers, and officials. Together, we will deliver an engaging community-wide mass participation street hockey event, with outstanding execution both in-person and through provided technology.

Play On! Canada is looking to bring on motivated and energetic individuals who are looking to develop their skills and experience in the sport and event fields. In your role as an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering Play On! street hockey festivals on a local, regional and national basis during the summer of 2022. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be important as you will be interacting with individuals in your community of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.

Road Crew

Up to 6 positions located anywhere in Canada

You are an energetic worker who loves travelling and delivering incredible events across the country. You have set-up and tore-down many events and you love to be part of something special. You will work as a team of road crew that are critical to deliver the events. You are able to take direction, problem solve and delegate responsibility when required.You are what makes Play On! tick. You are excited about going cross country to cities including the Greater Vancouver Area, Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary, Windsor, Mississauga, Ottawa, Halifax, St. John’s Newfoundland. You also love sport and don’t mind jumping in as a referee when needed

Public Engagement Lead (marketing / communications)

Remote position anywhere in Canada

You are a natural leader, experienced as a sports Marketer and ready for the challenge of leading the public engagement for one of the country’s largest events.  You are a collaborator and partnership builder with a willingness to hustle and the capacity to unite and inspire. A member of the national leadership team, you will lead the brand, media advertising, marketing, digital, communications, community outreach and public engagement activities for Play On! Canada.

Project Manager

Remote position anywhere in Canada

You are PMP certified with experience in sport events and ready for the challenge of leading one of the country’s largest events.  You are a collaborator and partnership builder with a willingness to hustle and the capacity to unite and inspire. A valued contributor to the national leadership team, you will collaborate frequently with Marketing, Operations, Tournament and Event leaders, while providing leadership for the project management function, including all staff, volunteers, and officials.
